Raila Odinga is a bad loser who won’t accept defeat gracefully

Former Kenya Prime Minister Raila Odinga has never conceded defeat since he started vying for the elective positions in 1994.
Here is a chronology of how Raila Odinga popularly Known as Agwambo reacts when he loses at an election:
Michael Wamalwa Kijana Vs Raila Odinga: 1994
The death of Kenya doyen of opposition Jaramogi Odinga ushered a power struggle for the chairmanship of Ford Kenya. In Raila characteristic fashion he attempted to wrestle the party leadership from Kijana Wamalwa who had faithfully stood by his father. Raila could not contemplate playing second fiddle prompting him to jump ship and form National Development Party (PDP).
Kibaki VS Raila Odinga 2007
This must have one of the most painful period of Raila Odinga as he lost narrowly to Kibaki by only 230,000 votes. The violence that followed after the presidential results were announced marked the darkest period of Kenya history. Raila Odinga and his brigade disputed the elections results alleging fraud. Kenyans turned against each other and in the process thousands were killed and property worth millions of shillings destroyed. It was the effort of the international community led by Koffi Annan that brought sanity.
Uhuru Kenyatta VS Raila Odinga 2013
The polls had given Raila Odinga a clear winnover his closest rival Uhuru Kenyatta, the incumbent President. Uhuru Kenyatta and Co. dismissed the polls and concentrated on a well oiled and organized campaign. Meanwhile Raila was busy dancing on daises across the country-and icing his well attended rallies with his famous Riddles-vitendawili. Kenyans voted and we had a new President. Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka cried foul as usual. The case went to the Supreme Court and the evidence was overwhelmingly in favor of Uhuru Kenyatta.
Ababu Namwamba Team VS Raila Odinga 2014
The Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has fashioned himself as a powerful figure in ODM. Raila Odinga and his sycophant were not comfortable with team Namwamba holding powerful positions in the party and so a plan was hatched. The Raila led side hired goons, now popularly known as Men in black to disrupt the elections. The men in black swang into action after Raila side sensed defeat disrupting the party elections.

Mr and Miss Maseno Event Organizers Could Have Done Better By Incorporating Artists From Kisumu...

Mr and Miss Maseno
The Just concluded Mr. and Miss Maseno brought to the fore the reality of how difficult an artist from Kisumu can land a major gig in the lakeside city. It was rather disheartening that all the artist who graced the event had been 'imported' from Nairobi. Save for Dj P Scratch and MC Jamtaa, all the other artists were from Nairobi. Ofcourse Rabbit, Kenrazy, Avril and DJ Hassan did not disappoint but that did not mean that artists from K-City were to be excluded.
According to singer L.A Rota, the problem lies squarely with organizers who don’t believe in home grown talent. “The reason why Kisumu artists don't perform in shows is because the organizers don't believe that they can deliver as much as artists from Kisumu or Coast.” Rota added that it is paramount for event organizers to recognize their efforts. “Kisumu should borrow a leaf from Coast in terms of appreciating their owns”.

Poor pay and being put through auditions is another factor that put off Kisumu artists from participating in gigs.
I had a chance to ask the top Kisumu artists why they are by passed and this is the responses I got:
Shaffie Boy Kaloleni a rep of June Rapsha: For maseno uni event its a pity n its sad they didn't even pick a kisumu based artistes n we hope that u also get UA jobs in nrbi Jaluo en jaa nyiegoo!!!!!!!!

Nahna: Shows that are organized in Kisumu give preferential treatment to artist from NairoBI. The pay is way better than what we get and that's why we give such events a wide berth.
Clastar Adi ashment King-dancehall artist: It is a gud thing for our artists to be featured in bigs events but again it takes a lot to qualify for any cooperate deal......its time our artists woke up n started doing things more professionally.....i cant blame the event organizers for going for Nairobi artists...n i cant blame our artists too....but I urge them to wake up n reclaim their positions as Kenya finest.

Malique-Starbel Producer: The producers and industry players look down on local talent. There is a notion that only Nairobi acts are the only ones worth paying and gracing major events. Why should our artists who are equally talented perform for free when their Nairobi counterparts are paid colossal amounts? You can audition a big name in the industry and pay them only 2K

Meet Kenya least Learned Self Styled Bishops who are worth millions of Shillings

Bishop Thomas Wahome of Helicopter Ministries
The controversial Bishop has the ability to tell if your name is in the book of life once you part Ksh 1200. Before he ventured into the lucrative gospel industry he was a watchman in Kasarani.
Prophetess Bishop Lucy Nduta -Salvation Healing Ministry
She dropped out of school in class 2. The self-proclaimed prophetess found herself in trouble with the authorities when she duped some of her congregants into believing she could heal HIV/AIDS. After numerous highly publicized cases the prophetess made a tactical retreat and introduced her son Bishop Kanyari to the scene to take over.
Bishop Victor Kanyari
His education background is rather scanty. What we know however is that the man of God has never been in a Bible school.
Gilbert Deya-Gilbert Deya Ministies
Gilbert Deya like most self-styled Bishop has never stepped in a bible school. The Bishop hardly refers from the scripture-he instead relies on the holy spirit for guidance when delivering summons. He was the brain child behind the miracle babies where he enabled infertile believers to conceive. The good Bishop is currently fighting a string of sexual assaults cases.
Dr Bishop Margaret Wanjiru-Jesus Is Alive Ministry
Men and women of God love big titles and this is best exemplified by one Margaret Wanjiru .The Bishop bequeathed herself the title of Doctor-a title in all fairness she does not deserve. He education background is also wishy washy.

Just recently the Nairobi Governor terminated a multi-billion tender deal between Nairobi County and Equity Bank awarding it to KCB. This is what has led the Equity Chairman to pull all moves to see that Kidero is out of office.

Rituals that Must Be Observed In The Luhya Community Before One Is Buried..

Before one is buried in the Luhya community the following rites have to be observed.
A cow must be slaughtered when an adult dies in the community before he/she is buried. This is a sign of respect to the dead and it signifies transition from this world to hereafter.

If a man was in a polygamous marriage, he must be buried in the first wife parcel of land. Incase it’s the wife who dies; the man cannot be allowed to bury her until he pays the outstanding dowry.

In a situation where a person dies from unnatural causes like suicide, accident or is killed, he/she must be buried at night. The departed person has to be buried by his or her maternal uncles who will be required to perform a ritual known as Ukhusola. The ritual involves hitting anything at their sight to avoid a repeat of the same in the family.

When an elderly woman passes own, her people must be given a cow-a rite known as Eshikaliro in luhya language. Her spirit will haunt the family if this rite is not observed.

If a single man dies a thorn is pierced in his genitals. This ritual is observed so that other male members of the family don’t end up single.
A woman who is either single or has returned to her parents’ home can only be buried at the rear of the boma where the grave is not exposed.
Incase the dead had twins, his/her grave must be covered with bananas leaves to avoid hailstorms from befalling the village.

Did you know Kenyan Women Make the worst Leaders?

Powerful Kenyan female personalities can be aloof, arrogant and corrupt than their male counterparts. Here is a list of Kenyan female leaders who give women a bad name…

Former Deputy Chief Justice The Hon. Lady Justice Nancy Makokha Baraza
Her stint as the Deputy Chief Justice and Vice President of The Supreme Court of Kenya was brutally short and exhibited the arrogance of women once they taste power. The former Deputy CJ slapped a security guard, Rebecca Kerubo, when she attempted to frisk her at a Village Market shopping Mall checkpoint. A seven-member tribunal recommended that Nancy Makokha should leave office for ‘gross misconduct’ forcing her to resign.
Former Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei
Apart from being accused of engaging in corrupt dealings by the JSC, Gladys Boss Shollei came under scrutiny with the manner in which she suspended and disciplined staff without following the proper procedure. Shollei who was shown the door for her conduct was also accused of irregular hiring of employees and assigning them jobs far beyond their qualifications.
Nairobi Women Representative Rachael Shebesh
She is synonymous with scandals. Power seems to have gone to her head bringing out the worst in her. Rachael Shebesh was slapped with Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero who in his defense claimed that the women representative hit him on the groins. This is not the first time the Shebesh has been involved in scandalous affairs that continue to taint women’s reputations.
Former First Lady Lucy Kibaki
This was a first lady who was action oriented and did not seem to mind dirtying her hands. Former President Mwai Kibaki wife, together with her security detail stormed the Nation Media offices to protest the paper’s portrayal of her family. Lucy Kibaki slapped a Nation cameraman filming her tirade. Another victim of her hot temper was Gitubo Imanyara and a hapless MC who refered to her as Lucy Wambui.
Nominated Senator Elizabeth Ongoro
The then Kasarani MP Elizabeth Ongoro was accused of giving her husband, Ferdinand Masha Kenga a beating that saw him hospitalized for three days in Nairobi Hospital. Ferdinand Masha denied those allegations made by The Star daily but that did not quell the rumors. It is in very rare circumstances that an African man let the world know that he is a victim of domestic violence.

Top Seven Dreaded Kenyan Terror Gangs

Here is a glimpse of terror gangs that have brought untold suffering to Kenyans.

Superpower

Barely in their 20’s, this terror gang is ruthless and will kill at any slight provocation. Superpower is so brazen and commits acts of theft in broad daylight. Their signature hairstyle is a Mohawk and weapon of choice is Somali knife. Area of operation is Eastleigh estate.

Siafu
Siafu is another dreaded gang that has it operation in Eastleigh area. The gang cannot be compared to Superpower in terms of numbers and ruthlessness.

Taliban
This deadly Kenyan armed group is not affiliated to Al Qaeda. The members are mostly Luo youths drawn from Huruma, Kariobangi South, Baba Dogo and other sprawling City slums. In the past the group has been involved in vicious supremacy battles with Mungiki. The group is known for extortion.

Mungiki
Mungiki was a deadly gang that caused terror in Central and Nairobi. The gang consisted of mainly Kikuyu youths who run extortion rackets, kidnappings and had the unenviable reputation of beheading their perceived enemies. Mungiki has taken a low profile in the recent past.

Gaza
Youngsters who are barely in their 15’s are causing havoc in Kayole estate and it’s environ. So ruthless are these gangs that business owners have either closed shop or are contemplating to do so. The young boys and girls are recruited from primary schools in the estate. Gaza runs an elaborate extortion racket where the children collect money from matatus that ply the Kayole route.

Sungusungu
This was a well intentioned group that was meant to provide security to the denizens of Gusii. The group extended its mandate to fighting witchcraft by lynching suspected witches. Slowly the group has metamorphosed into a terror gang that completely disregards human rights. It levies protection fee to every household. Recently the gang combined forces with Kisii police to fight striking Kisii University students.

Forty Two Brothers
Operating in the CBD, Forty Two Brothers are known to rob targeted people. The group is said to be colluding with some bank staff to execute these crimes.
